This is the premiere video/post for Relatively Speaking!  WooHoo!  I have been working on this for so long and have managed to overcome many obstacles and technical difficulties to see it through.  I am pleased as punch!  Can't wait to find out how this is received after a few months of posts.  It would appear that I have finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up!

After you watch an episode you will want to check out any links that I mention.  They will be listed here in the show notes.  For this first episode, I have a couple to offer.  One is for the Cobb County Genealogical Society I belong to incase you're interested.  I also read this other blog post on Tina Sansone's blog just after getting my outline finished for this first video and think it's a great addition to discussing your Family's Reaction to Genealogy.

Know this: to join your local society does not require that you have ancestors from that place.  You can join just to meet with other people who are interested in the same thing and hear some wonderful speakers who will come and talk about their favorite tips and strategies or a particular area of interest.  Many people I know are members of their local society, another one from the area that their ancestors had lived, as well as National Societies.
